How to add shifts to a project via the Projects Page

After adding a project, you can begin to add shifts to indicate the quantity and the kind of workers that your clients will require

Step 1: Select a Project via the Projects Page

  • Open your project management software.

  • Click on the "Projects" page.

  • Choose a project from the list on the left.

  • Click on the project's name to select it.

Step 2: Select 'Add Shift'

  • Locate the "Add Shifts" function at the top of the page.

  • Click on it to create a new shift.

Step 3: Fill Out Shift Details

  • Enter all necessary details for the new shift:

    • # Staff Required: How many staff are going to work this shift

    • Task: What role will they work during the shift. You can filter tasks by department.

    • Start Date: The date to schedule the first shift.

    • Start Time & Duration: The time their shift starts and how long it will run for.

    • Num Days: How many days do you want to repeat this shift. Select which days you would like to repeat it below.

  • Add additional details:

    • Client Contact: Select an individual whom the staff should check in with when they arrive.

    • Notes: Free text that can be communicated to staff and/or internally to other manages.

    • Comments: Additional free text that can be communicated to staff and/or internally to other managers.

    • Assignment Group: For any shifts running longer than one day, managers can group them so they can repeat staff assignments for each day.

    • Break Duration: Add unpaid hours to the shift.

    • Travel Hours: Add additional paid hours to the shift to account for travel time.

    • Charge Rate: The hourly billing rate for the shift.
