How to manage a user's access permissions

Users can be restricted via the Admin page should you wish to change what they can and cannot do in the system.

Step 1: Navigate to Users Management

Select Admin from the menu then select 'Users' from the sidebar

Step 2: Right Click the User You Want to Edit

The right click menu will show a number of options for managing the user including 'Manage User'

Step 3: Manage the User

Select the 'Manage User' option and select which permissions you'd like to enable/disable for them.

Access Levels

The Access Level option allows you to set which pages in the system you'd like to show/hide to different user types in your company. There are numerous types of Access Levels:

  • Manager: Dashboard, Planner, Projects, Staff, Clients, Financials, Reports, Admin pages

  • Admin: Planner, Projects, Staff, Clients, Financials, Reports, Admin pages

  • Financials: Planner, Projects, Staff, Clients, Financials pages

  • HR: Planner Staff, Admin pages

  • Operator: Planner, Projects, Staff, Clients pages

  • Scheduler: Planner page

  • Supervisor: Planner Staff pages*

* Supervisors can access the Planner page and the Staff page however they will not be able to edit staff data or assign staff to shifts unless staff have been assigned to them via the Users section in the Admin page.

Additional Permissions

  • Digital Sign-In - The user may view the Sign In area on the uTRAC App where they can access Digital Sign In Sheets that have been assigned to them by a manager.

  • Approve Hours - The user may approve timesheets via the Timesheet tab on the Projects page.

  • Full System Access - When this is deselected, the user may only access uTRAC via the mobile app.

  • All Projects - When signing in to the full system, the user may view all projects. They will only see projects specifically assigned to them by a manager if this option is deselected.

  • Password Required - The user will need to input a password set in the Admin area to override booking conflicts on the Planner or Project page.

  • Blocked - The user is not permitted to access any uTRAC interface.

  • Timesheets - The user may submit a start and end time via the shift Review section on the uTRAC App.
